I had a dream...okay so it wasn't so much a dream as it was a need. I needed to do my own thing. I had enjoyed successes in my professional career but it wasn't quenching my thirst to be a true illustrator and designer. I tried for years to get my freelance career off the ground and even landed some pretty sweet assignments. But it wasn't until my amazing wife Barb talked me into taking a leap of faith. She had seen me struggle as I worked my secure corporate position and settled into the idea that my dream of owning my own creative services business would soon pass me by for the price of a weekly paycheck. So, I started 5Fingers Creative!

Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to be an artist. Sometimes I would sit up for hours at night working on a project because I didn't want to sleep until it was complete. I really don't remember a time when I wasn't drawing, painting or creating something. Art became my life and quickly defined who I am today.

I live in Ames, IA with my wife Barb and our two children Alex and Lucy. My wife is a N.U.C.C.A Dr. and has her own successful chiropractic practice. (Yes, I do get free adjustments.)

Illustration: 5FC focuses heavily on my skills as an illustrator. My passion is to illustrate for children's books or publication. But it doesn't stop there. How about a caricature or a portrait? The possibilities are endless.

Graphic Design: 5FC focuses heavily on the visual importance of corporate brand identity. Logo, letterhead, brochure and business card design is just a start. I can help startup businesses with their image and get them pointed in the right direction. When it comes time for the business to approach a professional marketing agency they will be fully equipped and ready to go.
